While working at Saatchi & Saatchi in New York, Amy got the call to head overseas and launch a new way of doing business in Mainland China. Saatchi & Saatchi China was looking for a Media Director out of its US offices with extensive Procter & Gamble experience in programming and syndication to launch and lead this effort. A three-month assignment turned into a nine-month relocation and Mega Vision, a program and syndication unit in China, was launched. Working with an extraordinary team of British expatriates and local Chinese, Mega Vision achieved P&G’s objectives and goals.
Launched China’s first sit-com, “I Love My Family"
Was the first to get 30-second commercials out of 20-minute commercial blocks and into television programs.
Used local ad dollars to invest into local television productions. This investment resulted in better quality programming, which resulted in increased ratings and, at the end of the day, more efficient CPM's.
